Very nice, James Bach on testing. The guy rules! Basically telling what I have been trying to say within most of the companies I have worked in thus far.

schrodinger cat applied to testing [8:38:42 AM] Wouter Hermeling: ff off topic, ik kwam nog een leuke blog tegen over de zin van testen (iets dat bij QA ook hoog in het vaandel staat):
"Untested features exist in a quantum state where each of the possible states of implementation are simultaneously true until the point at which a test is written (or a user tries to use the feature) and the matter is decided."
Voor meer info over de correlatie van quantum mechanica en unit testing, zie: http://ping.fm/FIR8e

TNT Post Helpdesk email conversation
I recentely started an email conversation with TNT Post trying to figure out what exactly the reason is that when a package cannot be delivered to our house or to our concierge we need to go pick it up
* You asked the question: *
It is not so much for delivering the package, because that made daytime if we both work. That is a problem that TNT still no logical solution to see (looks me simple, ga after 18:00 on the streets with packages and delivery once SERVICE). We had to pick up a package today at a "post office" there TNT in all its wisdom has decided not normal to have post offices. The package should not be our normal location, to the Middle Way in Amsterdam to be obtained, but for some unclear reason, we were by the unfriendly note to Helmholzstraat 37 in Amsterdam gedirigeert. As mentioned earlier, we both work full days 5 days a week. In short, on Saturday, there is time for packets to get (evening openings apparently never come up to you, that would provide services and PTT Post and TNT are or how you call the civil service also not known for). In short, we are delighted on Saturday in good spirits towards the Helmholzstraat 37 to a package to get. There, there is a nice sign on the desk of TNT in the cigar shop: Saturday closed. Coming back after the weekend. Now I ask you, how do I come back after the weekend? We work on average one hour of 9 am, it must still travel to our work, so at 8 o'clock in the morning the door and not 19:00 hours back at home, by which time the post office (ie cigars farmer, as a non smoker I do not wish to) have already closed many hours. I still do not understand why there is still no foreign party is up to the Dutch market to take over, I believe that if U.S. Postal to the Netherlands with 50% of the service they deliver in the U.S., they TNT Post within 6 months have bankrupt. Can you please tell me how I VREDESNAAM IN MY PACKAGE TO GO TO WIN? In addition, I am happy that we suddenly random to another location should be a package to get. 9 months we get very regular and healthy reluctance packets on the Middenweg, suddenly, that in an obscure postagentschapje the Helmholzstraat done. I look forward to with great interest your response.

The answer to your question: *
Dear Mr de Vrieze,
Thank you for your response. I would like to respond. The general delivery times of TNT Post Parcel of 9.00 hours and 21.30 hours. Actual delivery times depend on the route and logistics services of the driver. It is not possible for the delivery times to suit the personal needs of the recipient.
I trust you enough information to have.
Best regards,

Dear, it's very sweet of you to indicate that the delivery times are not adapted to my personal needs. That is not my complaint. My complaint is that I time my work should have to take a package to get to a highly dubious cigar thing since on Saturday by someone of TNT work. The logical location where I was in the past my packages on Saturday could get to the Middle Way in Amsterdam, which is even closer to my house too. I want to know what you propose to me to make my packages to get to a location that WEL is open during normal and a very normal day as Saturday. The post office at the Insulindeweg is actually open on Saturday. In short, you gave me this did not sufficiently informed. I would like to know a random factor which ensures that my package one time on the Middenweg can be obtained, which actually worked on Saturdays and other times in a small stinking cigars boertje I geschoffeerd on Saturday and get to hear that TNT is no employee on Saturday and Monday afternoon for me 17:00 PM come back. I look forward to the brilliant answer that now is going to follow. I hope that this is a relevant answer will be. Increasingly deteriorating friendly greetings, M. de Vrieze
* The answer to your question: *
Dear Mr de Vrieze,
You have a comment about removing packages. I like to inform you. We have the services of our comprehensive service. From mid-June 2006, it is possible all types of packages to meet both the post and in our service. Packages are not hearing issued on the establishment in our logistics process is linked to your postcode.
TNT Post will seek to ensure that the establishment where the customer must pick up your package, the nearest office. In some exceptional cases, a zip code for logistical reasons, however, just in a different supply. I am sorry that your postcode is the case and that you leave your packages to collect.
I trust you enough information to have.
Best regards,
E K

* You asked the question: *
This is still not answered my question. Can you please a clear and logical answer to the question which I propose below in CAPITAL LETTERS? The other text in small letters is slects to clarify and NOT part of the question. Interpretative reading is clearly not the strongest part of the employees what the answer mails.
Until recently I took my packages on-site medium. Suddenly I must pick up packets at a different location WHICH IS CLOSED ON SATURDAY.
HOW SHOULD I MY COLLECTION PACKAGES ON SATURDAY AS I ONLY HAVE TIME FOR THIS TO WIN AND THE LOCATION OF MY PLANS TO WIN ON SATURDAY IS CLOSED? Koopavond IS NOT EVEN ON THE SITE SO THAT IS NOT AN OPTION!
I look with great concern to the next meaningless answer that I will receive you.
In the meantime unfriendly, impatient and weary regards,
Martijn
- at a relatively remote and illogical place
- which is further than the closest post office
- further than the closest post-agent
- not opened in the evening hours at all
- closed for TNT Post business on Saturdays
